Materials prepared for teaching high school Mathematics.

Linear Function Worksheet. I have had some success using this worksheet to teach that the linear graph, linear table, and linear equation are simply different views of the same linear function. (a 164 KB pdf file)

Solution template. A form on which math problems are solved according to a methodical solution protocol. (a 120 KB pdf file)

Geometry pattern sheets. These connect the name, the appearance, and the formal description of the concepts in a one-year Geometry course. References are to the Glencoe Geometry text. (Caution: a 1.5 MB pdf file)

Units. An approach to doing arithmentic on measurements that makes sense of unit conversions. (a 324 KB pdf file)

 

Quality Management in the Classroom. This experimental paper points out that "standards-based instruction" corresponds to the state of the quality art in manufacturing of about 50 years ago, and asks what contemporary concepts of quality might look like in the classroom.
